The Best and Easiest Buffalo Chicken Wraps
This recipe yields 8 small wraps, or 4 large wraps, depending on the size of the tortilla.
Additional notes will be at the bottom of the recipe, indicated by the asterisk. Please let me know in the comments if you have any questions!
Ingredients:
1 lb. Chicken (I use boneless skinless breasts or shredded rotisserie chicken)
½ Cup Sweet Baby Ray’s Buffalo Wing Sauce (or more or less, depending on personal preference)
½ Cup Buttermilk Ranch Dressing (or more or less, depending on personal preference)
8 slices of bacon
8 small tortillas, or 4 Large Tortillas*
1 Cup Iceberg lettuce (roughly chopped)
½ Cup Shredded cheese of choice (I usually use Mexican blend because I always have that on hand)
Salt and Pepper to taste
2 tsp Paprika (or enough to sprinkle over both sides of the chicken)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Place bacon slices on the oven-safe wire racks placed into a large-rimmed baking sheet. Once the oven reaches temperature, cook the bacon for 20-25 minutes, depending on your oven**.
- Slice the chicken breasts into approximately 2-inch thick pieces, and season each side with salt, pepper, and paprika. Place the chicken in an even layer into the air fryer**. Set the temperature to 365 degrees Fahrenheit and cook for 10 minutes, flip each piece, and then cook for another 10 minutes (20 minutes in total).
- As the bacon and chicken are cooking, prep the remaining ingredients. Chop the iceberg lettuce into bite-sized pieces. In a pan, heat your tortillas* for about one minute on each side at medium heat (I recommend using a non-stick spray, butter, or even bacon grease in the pan). You can also grab your remaining ingredients to assemble the wraps.
- When the bacon is cool enough to handle, chop it into small pieces to sprinkle onto the wraps.
- Let the chicken sit for a few minutes once cooked (internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit). This helps keep the chicken moist so that all the juice doesn’t leave the chicken. When it is cool enough to handle, slice it into smaller bite-sized pieces and place it into a medium-sized bowl. Add the buffalo sauce to the sliced chicken, and toss together with tongs until each piece is evenly coated with buffalo sauce.
- Last but certainly not least, you’re ready to assemble your delicious wraps! Feel free to do this to your liking, but I’ll share my way of doing it. I get a warmed tortilla, then add ranch directly onto the tortilla and spread it around so that I get ranch in every bite. Then, I sprinkle on some cheese, then sprinkle on lettuce. This helps to have a more even distribution of lettuce to each bite instead of it all at the top. Next, I sprinkle on about a slice of bacon’s worth of bacon crumbles, then top it with the bright orange buffalo chicken. And that’s all, bon appetite!

Notes for the Buffalo Chicken Wraps Recipe
* I can not express the importance of heating your tortillas through, especially in a pan. (In a pinch, you can do it in a microwave, but the taste and texture are SO much better in a pan). My grocery store makes them fresh, so they are still a little doughy. But even doing it to any store-bought tortillas still elevates them, and makes them easier to form into wraps. This is important anytime you’re using tortillas in your recipes.
** For this recipe, I choose to make my bacon in the oven and my chicken in the air fryer because that is the simplest way for me to make it. It’s hands-free, so it’s less stressful and gives me time to prep everything else. With that said, you can make the bacon or chicken with your preferred method.
Side note: You could easily make this recipe into a salad. Whenever I don’t have tortillas and I’m craving this, I just make it into a salad. It’s practically a salad wrapped in a tortilla.

I love this buffalo chicken wrap recipe so much, and I am so excited for you all to try it!
Dating my boyfriend has introduced me to buffalo wing sauce in a new light. He loves chicken wings; it is legitimately his favorite food. I am sensitive to spicy foods, so I usually avoid them altogether. But my boyfriend is the sauce man. He loves different sauces and flavors on many dishes so he has helped me branch out. This has led to my love and addiction to buffalo chicken wraps.
I will caveat and say that to enjoy buffalo sauce I need to have it with ranch dressing to help cool it down, particularly buttermilk ranch. Honestly, our favorite ranch is Wingstop Ranch. Is anyone else a lover of the Wingstop Ranch?
The combination of the vinegar base of buffalo wing sauce with the buttermilk ranch dressing is heavenly. It’s like a flavor explosion in your mouth!
These are great when you just need a meal that is restaurant-quality but is so easy to make at home! Plus, they’re a great easy weeknight meal. Making the chicken in the air-fryer (here’s the one we have and we LOVE it), and the bacon in the oven make this meal that much easier because you don’t have to be as hands-on.
And the beauty of it, is they’re also great as leftovers. Once the bacon and chicken are cooked, all you have to do is heat your tortillas in a pan and you’ve got an amazing meal yet again.
Additionally, one of my favorite aspects of this meal is that it’s actually a pretty light meal. I love any meal that tastes amazing but doesn’t make me feel heavy and sluggish like fried food would.
Life can be crazy, so having amazing meals like this that are simple and keep as great leftovers makes those busy weeknights or lazy weekends that much better and easier.
This wrap is loosely inspired by a bacon ranch chicken wrap I used to love from a restaurant/bar in Salt Lake City. My boyfriend and I first made our version of the bacon ranch chicken wrap and then we figured, “Why not try it with buffalo chicken, instead?” And my favorite meal we created as a couple was born and is one of our staple meals.
Have you ever made something at home that all the elements came together, it genuinely tasted good and you would easily spend money on it at a restaurant? These buffalo chicken wraps were my first experience with that!
I remember being so excited after taking that first bite and saying, “Holy sh**, this is SO good!”
Secondly, although the flavors are complex and glorious, this recipe is simple to make. I am always a fan of any simple recipe that tastes amazing!
I genuinely believe that anyone can make this recipe. This simple buffalo chicken wrap recipe is excellent for gaining more confidence in the kitchen.
These Insanely Good Pork Nachos That You, Your Family, or Your Party Goers Will Undoubtedly Love are another great recipe to gain confidence in the kitchen.
We don’t need to be in the kitchen for hours on end to create a tasty meal that will make you feel good. Plus, it’s great to make a bigger batch for your family or to have as leftovers for the next couple of days.
Food is one way I express self-love. I need to make sure I eat, namely because of my anxiety. Plus, I love food so much! If this wrap tastes amazing, helps me show myself some love, and I eat some lettuce in the process, then I am proud of myself for that!
What meal would you make to show yourself some love? What is that one meal that hits the spot every time you have it? I’d love to know!
